Driving Test Anxiety

Certified guidance for driving and test anxiety.

Test anxiety is the fear of failing, falling short or not being able to meet certain expectations — whether your own or others’. It can be very frustrating when you want to perform well during a driving lesson but feel unsure about whether you will succeed.

Thoughts like “I’ll definitely have a blackout” or “I’m sure I won’t make it” run through your mind. Usually the anxiety causes you to perform worse. You may experience negative effects such as sweating, trembling, procrastination, worrying, sleeplessness or heart palpitations — all things that lead to poorer results.

Building confidence

To overcome test anxiety, it is essential to build self-confidence during driving lessons so that positive changes can take place. Step by step, we work towards a feeling of safety behind the wheel.

Because Superway Driving School considers this an important topic, we are certified and keep our training on this subject up to date.
